The ROAM-XL Remote is equipped with two distinct operating modes, each supporting a different number of stations. To ensure proper functionality and compatibility, the mode should be selected based on the specific model of the irrigation controller being used. This configuration step is essential for optimal performance and accurate station control.

- Turn the Roam XL unit on by pressing any button. Press and hold the Mode button (top button with a circle) until the key icon is displayed.
- Press the right arrow button once. The rE (Residential Mode) or Co (Commercial Mode) will be displayed.
- Use the Up arrow button to change between Residential and Commercial Modes.
