The ROAM-XL Remote features two distinct operating modes, each supporting a different number of stations. To ensure proper functionality and compatibility, the mode should be selected based on the specific model of the irrigation controller being used. This configuration step is essential for optimal performance and accurate station control. Residential mode supports up to 48 stations, while Commercial mode supports up to 240.

- Turn the Roam XL unit on by pressing any button. Press and hold the Mode button (top button with a circle) until the key icon is displayed.
- Press the right arrow button once. The rE (Residential Mode) or Co (Commercial Mode) will be displayed.
- Use the Up arrow button to change between Residential and Commercial Modes.
