Hydrawise App - Messaging Options

App messaging, also known as in-app messaging or mobile messaging, is a feature that enables users to communicate directly within a mobile or web application. Here's a simple overview of how each feature works:

In-App Alerts

Push notifications are short, clickable messages that appear on a user’s device—on the lock screen, in the notification tray, or as banners—depending on the platform and settings. These are free, and you must have notifications allowed for the Hydrawise iOS and Android App on your phone (the maximum for this alert is 15 per hour). 

Event Logs

Event Log displays Alerts (set by you), Notifications, and Info (general information about your irrigation's operation), all accessible in the “Event” log within your App and on your web login. Each user on a Home plan will have a 30-day history, and the Enthusiast plan offers 365 days.

Short Message Service (SMS)

Short Message Service (SMS) is a text messaging service component of most cell phones. SMS Alert (text message) notifications can be sent to your customer or any user in your contractor account when on the correct plan.

You cannot receive the SMS alerts if your Hydrawise account is not assigned to the correct plan. When you try to add the mobile number to the SMS alert, you will see an alert asking you to upgrade to the Enthusiast plan (the maximum for this alert is 5 per month).
